Product Summary
AGC is in the medical device business. The ApLab is our current product line, having FDA approval and inventory; the company will began selling this device under the AGC Biomedical Device auspice June 30, 2006. We will be selling this via the Media on pay per use basis of $75 per exam. Other approaches are sales to physicians and the overseas marketplace.
AGC will develop one new prototype in 2006 for fever localization and other applications plus a 5 channel sleep disordered breathing device. The goal is to have the infrared product to market in the first quarter of 2007. The 5 channel sleep disordered breathing device will be available mid 2007. Additional proprietary products under development include magnetic treatments for a sleepy driver, insomnia, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). AGC's ultimate customers are the individuals being helped by the devices. This is achieved by selling and distributing through multiple channels such as over the counter, physician prescribed, and hospital based distribution.
Many potential customers are represented by the healthcare industry. Physicians and ultimately patients drive the demand. The demand is met by direct sales and distribution. Insurance reimbursement can play an important part in pricing levels. The government through the FDA is an important part of the process. A complex interaction between the above factors determines the ultimate customer to approach. With existing CPT codes for the 5 channel device, and the ability to market on top of the ApLab, we feel we will be able to shorten the process from a regulatory point of view as well as maximizing sales, driving income to sleep labs, physicians, as well as ourselves.
The infrared device will be initially targeted toward Emergency Room physicians and will ultimately evolve toward ambulatory care physicians and other specialties. The customer for the ApLab screening device is the patient. The magnetic treatment device has multiple customers and will evolve from ambulatory care physicians. There are many other applications which we will also be reviewing with our first prototypes to insure we can maximize our expertise in this arena.
